To put the group together, I found very quickly two guys, and we called the group (for lack of a better name plus I actually found a road sign), One Way. The two guys (guitar and drums) we not good but they got me going. I search and found better players who became the core of the group. Since each player had come from a different band, we called the group "These Odds 'n Ends" meaning a group of odds and ends from other groups.

The group, at least what I remember, was comprised of:

Me on Bass
Helmut Getto (one heck of a lead guitar player)
Joe Pelingra ) - Lead Singer
John Castronova - Piano (owns the Soundsource in Rochester, NY)
Mike Fenton - Drums

To my knowledge, this may be the only photo of the group in existence!

We were quite a group. In one gig, which was a high school, we decided to dress up in costumes. I wore a Paul Revere type getup. Joe, in a clown suit, etc. We freaked out the administration and they stopped and tossed us out - to the dismay of the students!

Classic stunt was to have John put his Vox piano on Joe's back where he would play it. Shades of Paul Revere and the Raiders.

Our one non-cover song, that I remember, was the song Johnny wrote called: I Live In a Manhole!

Helmut use to sing James Brown's "Please, Please Me", including putting on the cape, etc. In a couple of songs I learned how to take a telephone and "hook" it into the system - gave a weird sound. We were a very progressive band. Helmut's guitar was in Stereo which is configured.

While the band was successful, Helmut eventurally left the group. When Helmut left (that I remember) the group split ways. Myself, Joe left to eventually form Witchcraft. Check out the link for information on Witchcraft.
