It was amazing he lived! I got a call at 4:30 AM on a Friday morning from the hospital telling me my son has been in a very bad accident and I should get to the hospital as soon as possible.
As a parent you can't image what went through my mind! Would I get to the hospital and find him dead or near death?
When I arrived at the Hospital he was just going in for x-rays. He was alive!
After x-rays, they took him up to his room and started planning surgury to repair the damage on his leg. Of course I had to call his mother who was in back visiting in New York state, to get back to Erie as soon as possible.
He did survive his surgery and stayed with us while his leg recuperated. He had broke his femur bone and had a rod placed along with a bunch of screws in his leg.

It is amazing that he lived. As the pictures show, when he hit the tree, he hit the drivers side of the vehicle.
