After a long time ... I'm Back!

Yes, it has been a while since my last “blog.” A lot has happened since my last, which was January 2009. In the last week of March, The Invictas went and played in Florida. We played at a place called the Villages and then the Oldsmar Festival. The Villages is a retirement village with about 72,000 people living there. These are not you old wheel chair, walker, etc., type retirees. These people are in good shape to say the least and many are in the 50’s, 60’s, etc. Many living there are from the Rochester, NY area and remembered us from the “old days”. We and they had a blast. Great crowd and it was fun to watch three couples vie for the “Hump Contest.”
Oldsmar is just outside Tampa Bay and is a yearly festival. Crowd was good and we were the last band of the festival. The weather, both days, was great and it felt sooooo good to feel the sun and warmth. While Herb has a home in that area; Dave Hickey flew; Sammy was on vacation in Orlenda, Dave Profeta and I drove a truck down with all the equipment. It took us two days down and back. Dave and I had a great time driving not to mention a couple of cocktails every evening.
April brought retirement! Timing was right as a package was offered which I could not resist. More time to play now! With retirement I had to give up my company Crackberry so being the good Apple guy that I am, I got a 16 gig iPhone. I love it!! Lots of great apps on it. Check out the Florida pictures in the Invictas section of the web site.
