Well, I am back temp. We played (the invictas) two weekends ago at Shamrock Jack's in Rochester. What a great time we had. This was our "tune up" for the Brew Haus, which is actually our main opening date. Shamrock's would get the cobwebs out for us - which it did. I was extremely glad a special person was in attendance. That alone made the day and the performance (OO). I will upload pictures of the performance shortly.
Yesterday I flew to Altoona, PA to meet my brother for breakfast. Altoona is half way from Philly and Erie thus we meet there. I was anxious to see his $10,000 custom interior job. Man, was it beautiful! All leather. Even smelled like a new car. Tough getting back in my bird with it's 1967 interior. At least the carpeting is not that old as I replace it a bunch of years ago. The following are a couple of pictures:

Capt. Jim at the controls!!

Brothers we are!!

Getting ready to land...at AOO
More later!!! Got to get ready to head to Rochester to ready for the big tour opening. Old Guys Rock!!

This has been a very busy time since my last "blog." Between travel, the band and some other very good stuff (MT), time to draft this blog has been thought.
We (The Invictas) got together this past weekend for a Saturday practice then into the recording studio on Sunday. Practice was long as we had a lot of songs to go over. Started practicing at 11:30 AM and quit finally at around 7:00 PM. Into the Studio at 11:30 and I was finally out at around 7:30 PM again. We laid the base tracks for two tunes:
Big Caddy Hearse and Skip 'n Go Naked.
I believe they both came out great. All that is needed is Herb's lead vocal. All the music tracks, extra tracks, back ground vocals, etc., we did on Sunday.
It is sure a change (recording) from when we recored back in early 1980 all the recording was done on tape. It was a pain in the neck. Today, you record on a hard drive via a computer. Software does the rest. Lot, lot easier.
Check out the practice and Studio photos.
